PRESENT: John J. (Comments in Italic), Chairperson; Chris D., Joanne F., Tom C., and Michele E.

 

Chair’s Report–

  • The bug has been fixed. Actually not a bug. There was a sequence missing. This is why we need site documentation.
  • Amy was busy before, but now has accepted a well deserved promotion and will be absurdly busy, but she’s still with us. (Joanne wants to be adopted.)
  • We are going to pay $350.00 for site documentation, per our 7th Tradition to be fully self-supporting.
  • The Archive link works; and the Home Page has Agenda, and Jarrett’s report on NERF.
  • Paperwork is being processed for name change.
  • Creating a map of Suffolk for the Website – There is a guy out east who does this type of work. The idea is to show the Districts and Towns within the Districts and then the meetings within the Towns. This will have to go out for bids. (Who will maintain the map, Chris asked? The technical part will be maintained by whom ever receives the bid, and the non-technical side will be maintained by the web committee.)
  • Subscriptions – Waiting in the wings. Amy says she has something set up. This also has to go out for bids.
  • Didn’t do stats, but we are collecting them. John will follow up at workshop.
  • How can we get people interested in workshop?
  • HOMEWORK FOR ALL: Go look at BLOG!

New Business

  • Chris – Terry set up email link.
  • Next workshop to be on September 29th from 10:00 AM til 4:00 PM at the SIA office in Patchogue. Curry on the menu. (Geeks in the morning, others in afternoon).
  • Our next meeting will be on October 11, at 7 pm.
