WHAT DOES THE CPC COMMITTEE DO?

Cooperation with the Professional Community Committee provides information and outreach programs to service professionals who come in contact with alcoholics in the course of their jobs.

WHY?

* To provide professionals with information about A.A. and our programs.

* To describe what we do and don’t do for alcoholics.

* To explain how to contact A.A. for additional information

* To explain how the professional can help a client contact A.A.

HOW?

* Arrange or accept speaking engagements to small or large groups of professionals.

* Work with the Public Information Committee to increase our outreach.

* Provide for tables and information at various A.A. or public functions: Health Fairs, Workshops, etc.

WHO ARE THE PROFESSIONALS WE COOPERATE WITH?

* Health Care/Medical: Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, EMS Volunteers

* Legal/Law Enforcement: Lawyers, ParaLegals, Investigators, Police, Sheriffs, Troopers

* Clergy

* Education/Counseling: Teachers, Psychologists, Counselors, CSAC Students

* Social Services Agencies: Social Workers, CPC Staff, Rehabs, Housing Agencies

HOW CAN YOU HELP THE  CPC COMMITTEE CARRY THE AA MESSAGE?

* What other professions can we add to our lists above?

* Do you have any contacts in any of those groups of professionals?

* Would you be willing to make an introduction of a CPC committee member to the professional?
