At all responsible levels, we ought to maintain a traditional “Right of Participation,” allowing a voting representation in reasonable proportion to the responsibility that each must discharge.

NEW BUSINESS:

Creation of an SGS Archive- Rob – Is looking into creating an Archive Committee for SGS – Would like assistance in gathering and reviewing various accumulations of documents in an effort to creating an Archive.

District Meetings: Presentation by DCM’s: “Town Meeting”.  Trisha (113) explained roll of DCM.  John (108) discussed recruiting people for service below the group level.  John (118) spoke on the difficulties of getting people to be GSR for groups.  Ralph (119) spoke on always saying “yes” and getting involved in service.  Brian (107) attending the Assemblies and the commitment to AA.  Ken (108) spoke on updating other groups as their rep. Chris (110) spoke on the growth she has experi-enced since taking on the commitment.  District 110 also set up an email listing of their groups to keep them connected.  Frank (111) spoke on the statistics of those doing service below group level having a better chance to stay sober.

2nd Annual Birthday Brunch celebrating Founder’s Day to be held on June 11 at the Polish Hass in Riverhead at 8:30 am. $20/pp.  320 People Max.  They are holding a committee meeting the first Wed in May at the SIA Office.

Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC)–Nancy B- NR

  • Pre-Release Commitment – Looking for volunteers to help people being released from a correctional facilities to their first meeting. He also organizes volunteers to correspond with people in correctional facilities (Pen Pals)
